My 12 year old son has ADHD and has been on Dexedrine for a few years now. I can vouch that this has been the medication of choice for him. There is a difference between night and day and I am so happy to have found it. He can control what was out of control. We tried so many things before doing medication and I can't believe that we took so long to do this. All I can say is that when dealing with a child with ADHD, have all the alternitaves checked out before you decide medication. Also, be paitent. Keep to routine and have the child repeat back to you what is required of them. Give them a small amout of time to complete something. Rewards sometimes help but the consenquences must be short or they will give up quickly and won't care. This I have learned in the past 5 years and I have learned so much more. Good luck to anyone dealing with ADHD in a child or an adult.
