I was hospitalized for 8 days last month for what was diagnosed as moderate gastritis. The reason for the hospitalization is that I have not been able to tolerate food for well over 30 days now and have already lost at least 20 lbs. I was discharged rom the hospital in the same condition I entered in. All they could really do for me there was put me on a PCA for pain. Right now I am taking 20 mg. pepcid twice a day, Reglan 10 mg 4 times a day, and levsinex .375 mgs. 2 times a day. Yet, I still cannot tolerate food. Everything I eat comes back out one way or the other. I am literally buying baby food and even that causes diarrea. Has anyone experienced anything lke this? Fortunately, I was not too thin in the first place or I would be looking pretty bad; but at the rate I am going, I'm going to be looking that way soon. I've dropped 3 pants sizes in about 40 days and I am certainly not trying. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you.
