I had a sublaxing shoulder 2 years ago. This is not as loose as a dislocated shoulder but the pain from it is just as bad. My symptoms started out as impingment syndrome as my other shoulder was. My surgeon thought it was exactly the same as my other shoulder which had been a torn rotator cuff. The problem with injecting cortisone into my shoulder that was incredibly loose is adding all that fluid and expanding my joint capsule caused my shoulder to intially dislocate then loosened my joint to the point that my shoulder continuously fell partially out of socket. My surgeon proposed another injection 4 weeks later, I refused as I had injections on my other shoulder that didn't cause that much pain. All the cortisone is going to do it get he inflammation down. It does not solve the problem of a loose joint capsule. I eventually had to have surgery on my shoulder to shrink my joint capsule and I am very glad I did it. That injections I had into my loose shoulder had been incredibly pain for me. I couldn't move my arm for 4 days. Surgery is a long recovery but if I had the choice I would do it all over again as I had successful repair of both shoulders. If I can answer any questions for you fee free to email me. Best wishes to you.
