I wish you luck. At present I have severe Osteoarthritis of both knees which will have to be surgically replaced;my Orthopedic Surgeon wanted to replace one knee last June but I'm attempting to delay that surgery as long as possible. Six weeks ago I had Laproscopic Gall Bladder Surgery. Three weeks after the surgery while climbing the inside stairs, I accidentely lost my balance. In order to break my fall, I extended my right hand & arm. It did break my fall but it also fractured the head to my right Humerus along with complete full thickness tear of the Rotator Cuff. Also found out have arthritis in same area. The fracture is finally healed and just started Physical Therapy three times a week plus daily Physical Therapy three times per day which will last for about six weeks. After that I will have surgery to repair the Rotator Cuff tear. My Therapist did P.T. for the 2nd time on me yesterday and that's why I'm up at 5 A.M. with muscle spasms and pain; can't sleep tonight. Go again for P.T. today which doesn't count my daily self P.T. at home. I always attempt to have a positive attitude which I find is somewhat helpful. If you are dissastified with your Orthopedic Surgeon's advise, most definately obtain a 2nd opinion which is your God given right as an individual and as a patient;go to someone who isn't associated with your present Orthopedic Surgeon for that advise will be more accurate. You might also have to obtain a copy of your past surgeries for this problem which is easily obtainable from the Medical Records Dept. at the hospital along with a copy of the notes from your Orthopedic Surgeon's Office. Remember, no one is perfect and makes mistakes in life and that includes both you and I along with some Surgeons. Good luck and I'll keep you in my nightly prayers.
