Hi, I hope I can help you out a little. I have (RRMS)- Relapsing Remitting MS. I was diagnosed with MS in 1998, but I also had a stroke in 1996, and that was the onset of the MS. I was having all kinds of health problems:panic attacks,corparal tunnel,headaches,backaches,soreness in all parts of my body,I was feeling stressed out,blurred vision,dizzy,etc.,but I still kept working even though I had those health problems and I was taking medications for them. When I was at work, I had the attacks and they had to call the paramedics to many times. The first time they had to call the medics, my legs were feeling burny and warm from the knee down, they were also red-not bright red, they also felt sore,and I felt weak. Well, it was to many times with those symptoms and other things that made it worse. My doctor also sent me for nerve tests-some of them were (pins). I also had MRI's, which showed plaques around the brain. So, my PCP sent me to a neuroligist, she sent me for a test, I don't know what it was called, so, I will explain it to you, maybe it will be helpful in your case- the test consisted of a: tv screen, on it was a checker board and a black dot was right in the middle of the checker board, they told me no matter what happens on the board to keep looking at that black dot-so, that's how they definitly diagnosed me with MS. My neuro. started me on 1 of the ABC drugs called Avonex and that has helped me quite a bit. Of course, I had to be put on dissability full time now, because with the meds. I was taking it was better for me to be at home. So now the only thing i'm hoping and praying for now is a cure for MS. I also learned by going to MS Support Meetings, that people with MS have all kinds of health problems, in other words: not everyone is the same.
