I have a very busy public office. I have noticed and also received a number of comments regarding my secretary's body odour. Although I believe that she exercises good hygiene, she is very obese and has severe skin infections that possibly are the cause of the problem. Due to her weight problem, she may also have difficulties with proper hygiene after using the washroom. She is a very intelligent and proud person. I don't think she is aware of the odour. Any ideas how I can deal with this problem being that I can't insist that she loose weight overnight or heal the skin infection immediately. This woman cannot afford to lose her job nor do I want to let her go as she is a highly skilled and very dedicated secretary. I want to help her deal with this problem but, I don't know how to approach her without causing her much anguish and embarassment. I should explain that she has made me aware of sores that are in the folds of her flesh. These are open sores that bleed caused by heat rash. She constantly complains of the heat, even in the coldest weather. She dresses extremely well and appropriately for her size and has a very neat appearance. Her hair is freshly done each day and everything about her demonstrates that she tries to be clean and well groomed. The odour is the only problem that I need to deal with. Help!
