I was looking for my post since this is a subject close to my {foot?} But I can't find it so it must have been on another location. But my 2 cents worth: I had plantar fascitis a while ago and went to podiatrist, for cortizone injections and 'cookie' insert that cost 300$ to be cast. Needless to say, they never fit in a shoe or sneaker, nor could I walk comfortably if they did manage to get in the shoe. not wanting the surgery that he had suggested, I purchased Berkienstock shoes/sandals and have had no real trouble since doing this. If I get a twinge of pain on occassion, I remember to STOP GOING BAREFOOT and as soon as I get up, either make round circles with my feet, stretching up and down left and right or jumping into my trusty GOD AWFUL looking Beirkenstock sandals. But they have become my trade mark and to hell with how they look with a dress!! NO PAIN! NO OPERATION! No VISITS TO FOOT DOCTOR ANYMORE! And they last longer than regular shoes and the soles can be replaced making them look like new. What has anyone to lose, wearing foot apparel to correct posture and walking difficulties?
