I had a Nucleoplasty in December, 2001. The severe pain from the procedure lasted only a few days. I was limited as to lifting, bending, etc for 2 months, during which time I wore a special ambulatory traction brace. The pain from that herniated disk is gone. I have 3 other protruding disks giving me trouble, but at least half of the pain I was experiencing was eliminated with the Nucleoplasty. It was done as an outpatient procedure. I would have it done again without hesitation.
