WOW. I didn't know that this problem was not better handled these days. My sister in law was effected by Bells Palsy 30 years ago and they treated it with pulverized bee hive. I think they acquired it in Nogales Mexico as they all live in Arizona. They applied it to her face in a paste, I believe. My husbands daughter came down with it in the 70's and I took her to the Doctor immediately and they gave her a series of pills that had to be taken right away in order for them to work. My sister in-law sent me the pulverized bee hive right away but I had it under control with the medication so I didn't use it. I understand Bells Palsy to be caused by a swollen never located behind the ear, that is being restricted by a bone that encompasses the nerve.
