My 9 year old daughter is diagnosed five years ago of having an autoimmune disease with dystonia syptoms. Even with two MRI and numerous blood test, the doctors can't pinpoint what is the exact illness. It started with a loss of voice projection - she talks with whispering-like sound, and a year later developed into foot drag and unable to walk - the legs are having cramp. Over the last year or she has developed into scoleosis. The spine curving to the right side when she is having muscle spasm and her right leg will bend inward (muscle contract)and the left leg will flex outward like a straight rod. During the muscle spasm, the body will be twisting and rocking with a lot of sweat. Doctor has prescribed Sinemet 25/275 at 1 tab every 4 hours. This eases off most of the muscle spasm but she is still unable to walk for most of the time. Lately, Baclofen 5mg x 2 times a day is prescribed as she is experiencing more severe spasm. Is there anyone out there having same kind of this illness that could provide info as to this form of illness having such syptoms, I shall extremely grateful to hear of a remedy that will help her to at least recover her ability to walk. Regards, Henry.
