My son is 3 1/2 months old and is strictly breastfed. He has had some problems with constipation lately and also has very sour smelling gas. He is not a very fussy, colicky baby, but the smelly gas is a new one that concerns me (I have two other children that were breastfed, no problem). A friend, who is a PA at our doctor's office, suggested that he may be lactose intolerant. I do not want to wean him (and do not plan to) but wondered what the signs of lactose intolerance were and what alternatives I may have? Any help is appreciated.
