I developed severe tendonitis in both thumbs as a result of daily use of an improperly set up work station of 14-16 hours. I have been in splints, a cast, more splints, 16 weeks of PT with very little avail. I was just released back to work after being on light duty for 6 months because of my injury. My hands are somewhat better but by the end of the day my thumbs burn and my hands ache. Bone scan, EMG, and x-rays are normal. I am left with chronic pain and no medical care as wc wanted to settle and leave me. I am afraid of reinjury as it happened already once this summer for which it took me 7 months to recover enough to go back to work. I left the secretarial job in March a year ago. Anyone ever heard of tendonitis lasting so long?
