I'm not a professiomal on this at all. But, I've been thru a lot of stuff myself. You don't mention how long she has been like this,if she has any weight problems, health problems, if she's lost a family member, out of touch with her friends, and so on. Regardless of the circumstances that is causing your daughter to feel this way - is not necessarily normal for a teenager. If this has been going on for awhile, I would recommend her seeing a councelor. Even if it's just the school conselor to start with. If she won't talk to you, maybe contact some of her friends to see if they have any ideas on what is going on with her. Speaking from experience and dealing with a friend's daughter going through a similar thing - I wouldn't just shrug this off. You're on the right road, looking for help. Best of luck to you.
