I have had cellutis of the hand. It was actually around my thumb. I also had it above my eye in the hair follicles of the eyebrow. Both times I was hospitalized for a week. I tend to pick at things even in my sleep. Cellutis is caused by a staph infection that gets into the bloodstream through an open cut or scratch.
