hi, I had tubes put in my ears age 6 and from that point on, I have gotten the popping sound and the tickle of water trickling like you describe. In times when I had bad sinus allergies and was very stuffed up, I have had as much as a tsp of liquid go onto my pillow...something I would rather have than the inner ear hearing loss the accumulation of liquid gave me as a child. most of the time, I never see any liquid, though. The liquid was described to me as coming from the sinus drippings to the ear and enough pressure was put all the way through so it could make it to the outer ear canal. My ear drum is scarred the doctor said though my hearing is not compromised at this point. to create this though there's a lot of pressure to get through the process to finally the inner ear gel. Over time I have worked to ID what causes the sinus to outlay that much liquid so I only have it happen if I get a cold or some awful flu. On the rare times, I didn't have it happen, I went into bad middle ear infections. Massage helps it occur if my ears stop hearing so well and the popping occurs etc. Hearing is restored shortly after. Linda L
