I developed what my doctor told me was dermagraphia about 2 years ago. I first noticed it in London Heathrow airport Hilton Hotel the morning I was due to fly home to USA. I never had a problem before, but woke up with rash from neck to trunk and arms. It was pronounced when I dried off after showering. It went away within he hour. I have had it every morning for past 2 years and during day when anything rubs my skin, clothing etc. Most of the time it does not itch. Just red rash which comes and goes. Frequently I wake up with this in AM. On occasion I will awake with it and then it itches. Claritin does work, but does not seem to prevent it, just makes it go away fastr. It is driving me crazy. My dermatologist say it might have been triggered by a virus infection and I might have to have it for life. Does any one else suffer from this malady ? What do you do about it ? Help !!!
