I travel agreat deal for work and I was on a plane headed to Paris. Something pricked me on my ankle. It felt like a sharp bee sting.I just didn't think anymore about it. I arrived 8 hrs. later showered went stright to work. that evening my ankle had a huge rash on it.It was red and blue dots, like broken capalleries. it itched a great deal for about a day 1/2. the itching stopped and the mark on my ankle left. i returned to the states and now i have hives breaking out on my arms shoulders and lower back.Went to the Dr. and he said he's baffled, i was given a lyme blood test/thryroid/ and nothing came up. he gave me claritan 10mg to take once a day. i saw no improvement and not given much info so. i went to dermatologists on friday. she said what ever pricked me could of caused an allergic reaction inside of me. I was then put on allegra 60mg 2x's a day and minocycline 100mg 2x's a day.the very next day i broke out the worst i ever seen it. my right arm felt like the skin was being pulled off, red big blotches in the shape of triangles w/little pin holes hot and shooting sharp pains in my arm. i got extrememly weak and dizzy. i have a sore throat and slight cough.i live in New York City and of course my mind thinks a form of anthrax, but i don't have any of the symptoms. the ironic thing is there seem to be a few people in the neighborhood that have strange rashes. in my building and a few friends. None of these people know each other. We are not far from the hospital Manhattan,Ear and Throat Hospital.Needless to say i'm a little afraid and trying not to let my mind get silly.I don't know where to turn to, what kind of a doctor I should seek?A Doctor telling me he is baffled and then does nothing to gear me in some kind of direction isn 't helping me. I'm new to the computer and took me a while to find this. if anyone can give me advise I'd truly appreciate it. thankyou. ivonne
