Hi Cathrine, My doctor said that accupuncture is fine for a lot of things, but it doesn't cure Polymyalgia. It might be helpful, though, in letting us feel like we are in charge of our health. It might be a good distraction from the pain and stiffness, too, but I believe it would be temporary, at best. Polymyalgia can last a few years. So far, there is no cure for Polymyalgia, but there is symptom relief with Prednisone, in low doses. I chose this traditional route of treatment, and I am doing well! I have a lot of faith in my rheumatologist, and I am glad he is my doctor! Best of luck to you! Sue
