I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments on my last post. I had the LEEP procedure and it was pain free. Even easier than the colposcopy. Now I just wait three months to go back for another pap and hope that everything is fine. Just wanted to let you all know that I've done some reading on the Hpv virus and I found out that 50% of adults have it and so do 40% of children. This is a VERY common virus and only can affect you if you smoke or have other unhealthy habits that compromise your immune system. Most people with it have no symptoms. I smoked for three years and I will never smoke another cigarette again. I was also quite stressed out over the past year. Good luck to everyone out there and don't overlook the fact that you have the power to overcome your illness.
