Has anyone else had hives as a result of ct scan dye? I had the test on a Monday and started breaking out on Fri. Went to emergency room Sat. nite and back on Sunday. Put into hospital til Wed. I had the most severe case of hives. My throat did not close up, but now I have a full feeling in my throat. I told the lady I was allergic to shrimp. Asked if there was an antidote if I was allergic to dye and she said yes. Found out later there was someting else she could have used to do the test.
