From what I understand, It can be inherited and relates to paralysis of a nerve on one side of the face. (But I imagine that you know that already. ) My husband had a double verifed case of this, as well as his mother. It does eventually go away, but after two times, it left weakness on that side of his face. i.e. eye droopy when tired and mouth a bit droopy...
