I am 26 years old. My problem is i have joint pains . this problem had started after three months from the cesarian delivery of my son. this was around 15 months back. i had consulted my gyno. she asked me to perform a.s.o.titre and serum c. p. k. test. the test was conducted on 5 .11.2000. and the results are also titre.400i.units\ml and serum c.p.k. 23 units/l i had repeated the a. s.o titre test on 21.11.2000 and the results were also same.after this i had consulted a specialist in this field and he advised me inj.penidure lakh deep in. once in 3 weeks . he performed the following tests CBC,ESR,URINE,RBS S.CRED, S.UA,LFT,CP2(RF CBP ASO DNA RNI ACA CIC) CX HLAB2+NEG hematology repot: hemoglobin in gm. 12.4 r.b.c.count mill/cumm 4.1 total w.b.c count 7300 a. neutrophils. 58 b.lymphocytes 36 c.eosinophils 04 d.monocytes 02 e.basophils 00 platelets 2.3 erythrocyte 25(1 hour) rbc: n/n wbc:normal in count platelets:adequate imp :normocytic normochromic blood picture urine examination: 1. physical examination: qty :25ml apperance:clear reaction :acidic colour:paleyellow sediment: nil sp. gravity; q.n.s/ 2.chemical reaction: albumin:nil sugar:nil 3. microscopic examination: epithelial cells:nil pus cells: nil red cell:nil crystals:nil casts:nil other findings: nil BIOCHEMISTRY REPORT: blood sugar fasting/random:106 mg/dl serum creatinine:0.5mg/dl serum uric acid:3.8 mg/dl bilirubin total:0.6mg/dl total protien: 7.6gm/dl albumin:3.7 gm/dl globulin:3.5 gm/dl serum calcium:8.7 mg/dl alkaline phosphate:46 iu/l s.g.p.t.(a.l.t):37 iu/l IMMUNOLOGY PROFILE: rheumatology factor:negative<12 iu/ml anti d.n.a bodies:negative<58 iu/ml anti rnp antibody:negative<9 eu/ml anti cariolipin antibady:negative,13 eu/ml circulating immune complexes:negative,iu/ml ASLO:positive :600 iu/ml C-RP:negative : 6 mg/ml HLA-B27 BY LYMPHOCYTOTOXICITY result: not detected T3: 1.2 T4: 6.5 TSH: 1.0 sir i have been taking the injections of penidure 1lac since 24th november 2000 every 3 weeks but did not get any relief in my joint pains . my doctor has advised me to continue this treatment for next 3 years and came to the conclusion i was not suffering from rheumatiod arthritis. and the pains in my joints would subsidise with the penidure treatment. so i want u to advise me is the treatment i am taking is correct as there is no reduction in my joint pains and my joints are turning stiff and there is problem in their mobility. pl. help me in my dilemma whether i am suffering from arithritis or not thanking you and awaiting for your response padmapriya
