re your high blood pressure. I began having extremely high blood pressure as in 220-240/120-140 -- my heart would pound and I would tremor -- I was put on six different blood pressure meds at one time but even this did not help. One of my problems was taking Synthroid (thyroid) but even after withdrawing this drug, we found that many drugs affected my blood pressure, including any anti-inflammatory drugs such as aleve, motrin, vioxx, celebrex, aspirin, etc. It took over a year for my blood pressure to stabilize -- my doctor also raised the amount of estrogen I was taking and this seemed to help too. I now take my b lood pressure at home 3-4 times a day and my doctor depends on these readings over those in his offic (my blood pressure is always high in doctors' offices). Multiple tests were run to see what was causing my blood pressure problems -including a heart catherization. All tests were negative. Have you had any surgeries -- we also thought my problem my be caused by a baroreflex receptor problem -- a problem that affects the sympathetic nervous system. Maggie
