My son is in the hospital about every 6 months with terrible pain in the upper part of the stomach under breast bone in the middle, they can not find out what it is. He has to go in the hospital they give him an IV (fluids) and a shot for the pain then send him home, he has been in the hospital at least 8 times in the past 3 years. They have taken all sorts of tests and do not know what is wrong with him. He has seen a regular doctor, and also a gastrointeroligist, the only thing they can come up with is stress. If you can explain your other symptoms it would be gladely appreciated. His symptoms are severe pain, vomiting until he has dry heaves and sometimes diareah. We are at the end of our rope.
