My lady friend is 65 years old. She took HRT for 12 years to control her hot flashes which can keep her awake nights and are very dibilitating to her. She stopped the HRT because of a spot that showed on a mammogram. On a follow up X-ray the spot had gone away.She will not take soy products (which helped her)because her doctor told her it contained hormones. Is there anything she could take that would help her in her situation? The hot flashes are actually getting more severe lately. Thanks for any help out there!!
