I have had the stringy discharge stuff in my eyes for about 2 years now! I went to my eye docter who said it was just allergies and to buy some eye drops. eye drops seem to make it worse. My eyes are very goopy all the time and feel grimy. The discharge clouds my vision and if i dont remove it, it falls over my iris and people notice. also it gathers in the corner of my eye eventually. when trying to remove it, it usually just gets gritty feeling and is dried to the inside of my eyelid. The skin around my eyes is getting stretched out from removing all the goop. Blinking with all the discharge is extremely distracting becuase my eyelashes clump and stick together. Some days are worse than others. Discharge is constantly forming in my eyes, and i hate it. it makes me worn out to deal with it, and i cant wear any eye makeup. i do wear contacts, which may not be good for it, but i really dont like glasses. it makes my face look worn and wrinkly because i am constantly picking at my eyes. My eyes seem to get worse during and after time in the sun without sunglasses. Nail polish and remover really makes my eyes bad. I want to do something about it, but what can i do? I really dont want to have this forever, and its extremely dampering my mood. I dont want to talk to anyone or deal with anything when my eyes are exausted from all the effort of blinking and unsticking my eyelashes. Conjunctivitis is the closest diagnosis i have found. I found something else that is similer, but it seems that is only affecting african americans. I am caucasion. please help me if you can.
