About a year and a half ago, I had 2 strep infections within one month. Augmentin finally got rid of it. I contracted strep again in July of this year. First I was given Duracef, then Augmentin 500mg. Both times, the infection went away for a while, but then returned. In between antibiotics, I have been taking multi-vitamins, echinacea with olive leaf, grapefruit seed extract, minerals from the great salt lake and blue algae extract in an attempt to build up my immune system, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I'm 38 years old and, until last year, I hadn't had strep in over 20 years.
