I recently strained my lower back and pelvic area very badly. One day later, I began experiencing abdominal pain as well. On the fourth day after the initial back strain, I went to ER in extreme abdominal pain, fever, etc. and was diagnosed and treated for a ruptured visus. I am a 44 yrs white male. I eat well with plenty of fiber. Never had bowel problems or any blood or other symptoms. Has anyone any knowledge of ruptured visus caused by external strain? The simple progression of events in my case leads me to believe everything was closely related to the severe strain, yet my surgeon and my employer's insurance carrier say the timing was purely coincidental, leaving me with huge out of pocket medical expenses along with lost wages. Any info that anyone could provide to help me build a case is gratefully appreciated.
