Many years ago I ended up in a small country town emergency room because of the pain from a swollen node...they removed it without any pain killers and I screamed so loud I was told everyone in the hospital heard me. Anyway the doc. told me to change deodorants that mine was clogging and/or irritating me causing the swollen nodes...Also the next time one started appearing to not only change deodorants but to wash the area off with a mild soap then alcohol and then start putting a very warm washcloth under my arm several times a day till the swelling was gone. I have done this many times over the years and it has prevented further emergencies.
