I too had surgery in January. Part of my stomach and esphogus was removed. was in hosp for 13days off work for 8 weeks. I thought i was recovering pretty good, however i developed 2 incisional hernias and had to go back to have another surger in july. am getting along ok. the only problem I have had since the first surgery is with "gas" and irratic bowel movements. I am still some what sore, but not hurting. I do not eat as much as i did, have lost 100 lbs, which i needed too. I to no longer take blood pressure meds nor do i take any of the three other pills that i was taking before surgery. but I tell you the surgery was no piece of cake. I was not mentally prepared for it.
