I had a fatty tumor in my back. It was near my spine. The doctor pressed against it and then I had x-ray taken so he could look at it to determine if it was cancerous. This was about nine years ago. After the test was returned, I was called into the office and he explained to me it was a fatty tumor. He said it was a mass of fat that is not cancerous. He informed me if it did not grow to interfer with my spine I would not have to have it removed. I was happy. Two months later my back began to hurt. The fatty tumor had grown and was pressing on my spine. It was taken out in the outpatient surgery ward. As a matter of fact, he showed it to me later. I have not had any trouble since. If I were you, I would get a second opinion if his answer or procedure bothers you. It's best to make yourself feel comfortable about these kind of things. After all this is your body and you must make sure everything is alright.
