I have doctored for 12 years with hip pain and have been told over and over to learn to live with it, but when you can't walk more than a few steps without pain that is not living. I was diagnosed yesterday by a known doctor with hip bursitis. He suggested an injection in the hip of a steriod. I have severe pain in a specific area of the right hip, my right leg tingles and my right foot is numb all the time. He is referring me to another specialist that does this kind of injection. After 12 years, I'm ready and willing to try anything. Daily, I take 6-8 Tylenol Arthritis (650 mg each) and a Vioxx. Nothing helps the pain except bed rest. Has anyone had successful relief of the pain? This is the first doctor that has told me there is light at the end of my tunnel. I want to be hopeful.....
