I was in an auto accident on 4-6-00 and my MRI was done on 5-30-00. The Doc that read the results said moderate herniation at T9-10 (as well as disc bulge or broad based protrusion mild to moderate left cord effacement and mild central canal stenosis, mild left meural foraminal enchroachment, thecal sac compression...). The Doc that received these results insists that there is nothing wrong with me and is (and this is his exact quote) "mystified as to why you are in pain". The cervical MRI also showed bulging, cord effacement, thecal sac compression and degenerative disc. My question(s) are why would a doc say nothing is wrong when it is obvious that somethng is going on (oh and he prescribes me medication even though nothing is wrong) Second the report says the herniated disc is old. Could this be due to the fact that 2 months went by before I got an MRI? I NEVER had any type of back pain of this nature and have been in pain for over a year with no hope in sight for relief. ANy suggestions on what I do now?
