I have had the same problem. I have pain in the sternum and in the left breast. I have been very concerned that it could be breast cancer. It has started to hurt now down my arm and around to my back. I learned how to do self chiropractic adjustments of the upper back from a friend and my husband did the adjustment on my back and this takes the pain away in the back for awhile. To do the adjustment you lie with your chest on a padded dining room chair and hang your arms and head over and someone presses upwards on your back down your spine. Try this. Also try the same with the front, but while lying on the floor. Do not push hard in front, it hurts. This seems to realign the ribs.
