I was born with Hydro, received my first shunt at age 5. I have had two children, neither of which have Hydro at ages 10 and 12. The chances of a second baby being born with it are pretty slim. It's pretty rare for one to be born with it actually. No, there is no real prevention for it either. Unfortunately you can do everything right in your pregnancy, and still have a child with Hydro, that's just the way it happens. I do hope a real prevention is found some day. Keyt
