I have lots of experience with headlice, unfortunately. Both my boys had it over and over one school year. Despite my cleaning and faithfully applying the over the counter headlice solutions, I was not successful. The last couple of times I just cried! It doesn't sound to me like your daughter has headlice. I have a blonde haired boy and a dark brown haired boy and when I picked lice out of their hair, they almost looked white until I had them on my fingertips. Even though they are small, you can definitely tell they are little insects. If anyone has this problem, the only thing I found that works is something called "Head Lice Solution" which is an oil based product a friend of mine purchased through an internet site (I don't have the site address, sorry). It is natural and it works. I didn't have to wash everything in sight either, just apply at night and wash out in the morning. You have to do this for awhile, but it is worth it. I would suggest taking your daughter to a pediatritian or a local pharmacist to look at her. Don't be embarrased either. People don't contract lice because they are dirty! Good Luck!
