While working for a surgeon & noticying so many women coming in for post check ups after having breast lumps removed, I mentioned that I'd had them for years (I was 39), so my "boss" said I should have one in particular taken out which I did & it was benign. As time went on I had 7 more taken out..had a hematoma one time which was extremely painful, the surgeon had to pull the incision open daily for weeks so the pus could drain out...& I had to, after he could stop. That was 40 some years ago & I never had any more nor any cancer and many docs have told me I simply have/had lumpy breasts & shoud have left them alone. I am 87 now and have two breasts full of scars but no problems. One surgeon even wanted to take off both breasts!
