My mom is 61 and was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last June 18, 2001. We were shocked, angry, sad and it was very hard for us to accept that she's got cancer. My mom is a healthy woman and she visits her Doctor regularly. Last Thursday(7/5/01), she had a whipple surgery. Now, she is still in recovery with a lot of pain. We were told by her Doctor that after her recovery, she will undergo chemo- and radiation therapy. Before the surgery, we were told that there is 30% chance survival, and now after the surgery, survival is 70%. I guess my question is, how promising are the current procedures in beating cancer? I heard about C225 but how promissing is this new drug? Thanks.
