I have just been diagnosed with mild colitis. A colonoscopy procedure was necessary in order to get the full picture. So far, a low fiber diet is recommended plus a foam to insert for the uncomfortable feeling I get from time to time. There has been bleeding for years and I was told it was hemmoroids. There were none present, but it was fissures causing the bleeding. There was never any pain. I have been miserable with bloating and taking asacol but had to cut way back because it was causing constipation. Will see my doctor soon who is a specialist. I am sure he will tell me I must lose weight. I am still not straightened out, but at least the diarreah is much better. Hope this helps someone.
