My son is just getting over this. His first symptoms were a sore throat and a rash on the buttocks, then tender red bumps in the palms of the hand and on the soles of the feet, then the blisters. The blisters seem to be drying out and going away on the hands and feet. This is probably around his sixth day with it. The doctor said the virus is quite common in children, especially during the summer. Last week, around the time my son was complaining of a sore throat, I too had a sore throat and thought nothing of it because I only had it a couple of days. Now on his sixth day with the virus I have noticed tender red spots in the palm of my hand (only 1 or 2 in the other)and a couple on my foot. My tongue feels like I burned it with a hot beverage, so if I eat spicy food it is quite uncomfortable. I am online researhing the virus in adults. He is 9, I am 25.
