sinus/facial pressure with hypersensitivity to sound

Message 1 of 1

For 8 months I have had sinus pressure, aching teeth and jaw (upper and lower), and an annoying hypersensitivity to sound as well. I can breathe fine through my nose and do not have any kind of discharge. My doctor diagnosed allergic rhinitis. I have been on 2 rounds of antibiotics, Rhinocort nasal spray, Nasalcrom, saline spray, Claritan, Allegra, decongestants, and mucous thinners. Nothing has worked. She says my next step is a catscan (which I can't afford). It seems better when I am in air conditioning but never goes completely away. If this is allergy related, why don't allergy medications get rid of it? Has anyone else had this problem with their hearing as well? Loud music drives me up the wall! Even my own voice bothers me sometimes. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with similar symptoms. At the end of my rope!
