It's perfectly normal for you to be having difficulty with sports, but I am sure it is hard on you emotionally. I have had Epstein Barr for 8 years. At first, I was too tired to do anything and my doctors didn't seem to have very much information for me. Then I found a book called chronic fatigure syndrome by charles pellegrino. I gave up sugar, prioritized rest, started drinking fresh squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, and took some medication for depression (which is very common with epstein-barr. don't feel bad if you've been feeling depressed, okay?). I am doing so much better! I have run an international organization, traveled to Bosnia, recorded a song for a CD. You can and will feel better. Just listen to your body, trust yourself, and take good care. Others may not believe you are sick because they can't see symptoms. If you are ever feeling alone or sad, you can email me. Hang in there. You're very brave!
