This message goes out to all concerned about prescription costs of anti-seizure medications. An adult at 50, I have had epilepsy for 46 years. Cost of medicine has been going up like crazy and I doubt those benefiting from that will want to give it up anytime soon. Yesterday Congressman Bernie Sanders (I) appeared with Neil Cavuto of Foxnews. He is very much for the freedom of the patient to obtain prescriptions which are very expensive in this country at a lower cost. In Canada, for example, I found out through an email friend, my Rx over there is at least 1/2 the cost less; I believe, though, it costs even less than that, + a $10.00 pay to the pharmacist. 12 months x $400 =$4800/yr. Unable for me to hold a job due to seizures, that leaves very little spending money for my 13 year old son. I am sure I am not alone in cases like this. I have the addresses of Congressman who are about to vote on this issue. I urge each adult epileptic and the families of epileptic children to contact their Congressman as soon as possible on this issue. These are our bodies other people bank on. Is this of any concern to you? I really do hope so.
