Don't panic! I know it can be heartbreaking watching them in pain and hearing them scream but it doesn't last forever! Both my kids had reflux for the first 6 months of life. As soon as it was diagnosed, they were put on Zantac syrup and Prepulsid. The combination of the 2 reduced acidity & ensured that the stomach contents moved through the stomach to the intestines quickly. By age 6 months their gastro-oesopageal sphincters had caught up in terms of development and the problem went away. I now have healthy 5 and 7 year olds.
