This is related to rheumatoid arthritis, but the pain, feverishness and swelling jump "asymetrically" to different body parts, for example my left hand and right knee. It's caused by an overactive immune system. My doctor's giving me a low dose of methatrexate, a chemo drug, which gives relief but makes me sick ... I'm also concerned about longterm affects on my liver (I'm 49.) Anybody have any less toxic treatments to suggest? Blessings and hope to all who are worried and/or in pain!
