servral months ago I noticed the nails on my little fingers seemd to be pulling away from the tips of my fingers. Everytime I would streach out my fingers it would hurt. At the sametime the cutical on all of my fingers became very hard. It was as if I was getting a painful hang nail on ever finger but enstead the area was getting very hard. While all of this was happening the skin on the palms of my hands stared to change as well. the skin at each joint of my fingers was getting very thick as if they were calloused from years of heard work, which was not the case. Since I am forty my doctor ran test for a thyroid condition which was ruled out. I am currently seeing a dermatoligist who thinks it may be a nail fungus how ever those test have been negative. In the mean time Lac-hydrin lotion and Urea cream have helped to soften the skin somewhat however the skin on my fingers is so thick that it's difficult to feel things like my hair and the tecture of fabrics. My hands are slightly swollen in the morning but after several hours it usually improves. If it weren't for these creams and a pumus stone, I don't know how I would be able to bend my fingers. The nails really have not changed. They'er still very white but weaker due to these softening creams I use. The only other thing I've noticed is that my hands are often too hot or extremly cold. If anyone has a sugestion I'd love to hear your views
