I've been battling this disease since I was 18 and I am now 32. I have been through 2 rounds of the steriod/chemotherapy protocol. The first time I went into remission and the second time I improved but I did not go into full remission. I have managed to have a healthy baby after a very high risk pregnancy with months of bed rest and close supervision of my OB and my nephrologist. Currently, I am "leaking" 2 1/2 grams of protien and I am taking 40 to 80 mg of lasixs and a ACE inhibitor. My doctor thinks that my body is trying to put me back into remission, but we are not ruling out a third round of steriod/chemo treatment. I would like to know if there is anyone else out there would is battling with this disease and how they are coping with the fatigue and puffiness that comes with it. I know it may be a long shot since I am told my form of disease is not very common espicially in women.
