I have a two year old son (28 months)who is on his second pair of ear tubes. His speech seems to be delayed. He speaks but not clearly enough to understand. I'm wondering if this is a typical delayed mile stone for children with achondroplasia or is it because of all the ear infections (which I know is typical of achondroplasia children). He has had his hearing tested and he seems to be fine. Has anyone else had problems with hearing/speach problems in children of achondroplasia and how did you deal with it? Is there more we as parents should be doing for him? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thank you, Ellen
