My husband went to the emergency room on 4-24-2001 with chest pains. The doctor did an ekg and a stress test that he passed without his blood pressure increasing or having any chest pains. So the doctor told him that he thought that it was acid reflux.Almost 1 month later on 5-26-2001 he had a massive heart attack that killed him. An autopsy showed that he had atherosclorsis. He was only 43, he was a smoker. I would like more information on this for my son, because it was so unexpected and he was in good health the doctor said for his age. But he had a history of heart problems on both sides of his family. I have heart problems in my family to, so I would like any information on how to catch this bad disease before it is to late like it was for my husband.
