My neurosurgeon wants to do an "anterior cervial discectomy" using a cadavar bone for fusion and inserting a titanium bracket with screws. This is for disc herniations C5/6 and C6/7 where nerve is being pressed and vertebra are rubbing together, etc. I think with bones already rubbing together, that the newer non-invasive CED (cervial endoscopic discectomy) isn't really an option. This scares the do-do out of me. Has anyone had this done and how did it turn out? This daily pain keeps me from living life to the fullest.
